Grace

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's been a bit quiet on my blog this week but that is only because I have been busy creating for some upcoming design team projects.

Today's project was created as a gift for a special lady. I was asked to create a layout with a note and picture for a scrapbook that is being created as a birthday gift for her.

Now, I don't do a lot of scrapbooking because it takes me so long to feel like I am happy with the layout. I kept this one simple and tried to go with a quiet beauty.

I used the following items to create this layout:

Cricut Expression and Gyspy
Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge ~ "grace" welded with my Gyspy
Stretch You Imaginations Cricut Cartridge ~ tag at the bottom
Market Street Stamps ~ MSS-BK-10 Vintage Notepad
Martha Stewart Punch
DCWV Rustic Stack
Flat Backed Pearls
Vintage Photo Distress Ink

My flowers were just cut from the designer paper. I didn't want the layout to be too bulky and these flowers are very pretty with a glossy overlay.

A few things coming up on blog:

Tomorrow, we will be hopping with ShopPumpkin Spice!

I have a cute, cute card that I cannot wait to share with you and since it's the season of giving, I may have a little somethin', somethin' for one lucky follower!

Also, tomorrow marks the beginning of the December sneak Peeks for Peachy Keen Stamps! The new stamps are fabulous as always! I've been working on several projects that I will be sharing over the next few days.

Well, that's it for me today. Thanks you so much for all your sweet, sweet comments. I read every one and it means a lot to me that you take the time to comment.

Until next time...
Happy crafting!

Happy Thanksgiving with Shop Pumpkin Spice

Happy Thanksgiving! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's my day to post over on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

Shop Pumpkin Spice is an on-line scrapbooking supply store. Denine carries all the wonderful lines of paper and embellishments that we all love. The prices are always at least 30% off retail. There are some exciting things happening at Shop Pumpkin Spice. I will share a few at the end of this post.

Now, you may recall seeing this card on my blog yesterday. I am posting it again for 2 reasons.

1. I wanted to feature it by itself.
2. I used several products from Shop Pumpkin Spice to create it.

For this card, I used a sketch from Cardabilities, Sketch #63.

All the patterned paper on this card is from My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Boy. I added 3 buttons from My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink and added The Twinery Baker's Twine in Cappuccino, Cantaloupe, and Buttercream. I added Ranger Glossy Accents to this cuties eyes and nose.  Shop Pumpkin Spice has the best price on the Scotch Adhesive Tape Glider refills. I go through plenty of these!

Here's a close up:

and one showing a little action:

Other items used in the creation of this card:

PK-135 Medium Bear Facial Features
PK-141 Lil' Tweets  Thanksgiving (sentiment)
clear embossing powder (sentiment)
Cuttlebug embossing folders Houndstooth and Swiss Dots
Action Wobble

I am linking this to the following challenges:

Gobble Wobble with Peachy Keen Stamps and a Sale!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

We are only one day away from Thanksgiving! Many of you are very busy getting ready. I know I am!

I am being featured on the Peachy Keen Blog today so I hope you like what I've created! :)

Well, I finally succumbed to all the cuteness and bought myself the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Lite cartridge. I just couldn't resist all those images and great projects that I had seen all over the internet and from all you talented people!

With that being said, for my Peachy Keen feature today I put together a card using one of these cute little bears. Not only that, I put together a few more bears so that you can see several different Peachy Keen Face stamps that will bring these cuties to life!

Get ready for some cuteness overload!

All of the bears I am showing you today were cut from the Cricut Lite Teddy Bear Parade cartridge at 3 inches. I used the blackout for each bear so that I could use my Peachy Keen Stamps.

For the little bee bear I used the eyes from PKSC-10 October 2012. I filled in the whites with my White Gelly Roll Pen and added some blue to his eyes with my Copic marker. The little elf's face comes from PK-146 Piles of 1" Smiles. Again, I used my gel pen and Copic markers.

This cute little santa was stamped with PK-441 Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8" Faces and the reindeer was stamped with PK-755 Critter Faces Large. I added white highlights with my gel pen and I gave shine to all of the bears eyes and noses using Ranger Glossy Accents.

For my last bear, I created a card. Again, I cut my bear at 3".  I followed a sketch from Cardablities to create this card.

I used PK-135 Medium Bear Facial Features. For this cute little turkey, um bear, I created some texture on his body using my Cuttlebug and the Houndstooth embossing folder. I also embossed the brown strip behind that turkey using Swiss Dots.

I thought it would be fun to put this little guy on an Action Wobble. I'm thinking he looks a little peacked. Poor little guy! I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment using PK-141 Lil' Tweets Thanksgiving.

The inside sentiment is from PKSC-10 October 2012.

As you can see there are many different options that you can use with these bears. I've only given you a few to start. Peachy Keen Stamps offer tons more!

I will return tomorrow with a few more details about this card.

You're Un-Bee-lieveable! ~ SMS Terrific Tuesday

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for another Teriffic Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps!

This week's challenge is to include a Critter in your project.

I just bought the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Lite cartridge and couldn't wait to use it. In fact, you may be seeing more teddy bears in the near future.

Here's my card:

As I mentioned, I used Teddy Bear on Parade Cricut Lite cartridge for my cute little bear. The large circle and scallop was cut from Gypsy Wanderings. The small circles and scallops are from punches. All the patterned paper is from Echo Park Country Drive. I used the current Mojo Monday sketch for the layout of my card.

I added yellow stickles to my little bee/bear. His face was stamped with PKSC-10 October 2012. I colored in the eyes with my gel pen and Copic marker. Glossy Accents was added to the eyes and nose for some dimension and shine. I heat embossed his wings with some sparkly embossing powder. Everything was inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

I hand cut the banner and used a stamp from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release "Critter Crazy!"

Check out the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog to see what my fellow design team. They always have something wonderful to share.

Gobble, Gobble! ~ PKS Challenge #44

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

This week Peachy Keen Stamps is doing a color challenge.

I created a card for you using the color pallete below:

I just had to use these beautiful colors for a Thanksgiving card.

I based the layout for this card from the curent Mojo Monday Sketch 267.

My papers are from an old K&Company mat stack by Tim Coffey. The scalloped edge is from Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge. All of my embellishments are from the October Peachy Picks collection which, apparently, has sold out!

I used a sentiment from PK-141 Lil' Tweets Thanksgiving.

My turkey, hat, and inside sentiment are from PKSC-10 October 2012. I colored his body with Copic markers. For his feathers I used Ranger Distress inks in Aged Mahogany and Spiced Marmalade. I tried to use Milled Lavender for the purple feathers but it was just too light so I colored over them with my Copic marker. After inking them, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist. In the photo you can see some of the splotches from the spray. I am not happy with it but in real life it is not as pronounced.  To complete my turkey I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and highlighted him with a white gel pen.

Here are the challenge rules:

Create a project using the photo as inspiration. Interpret the photo ANY way you'd like, just be sure to let us in on your creative process!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!

Here Comes... ~ SMS November Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a Christmas tag featuring a sentiment from the newly released Scrappy Moms Stamps "Critter Crazy!" and "Christmas Cheer!"

I was going through all of my cards and deciding which I was going to keep and which I was going to throw away. This little dog from the Create-A Critter Cricut cartridge was on one of the cards I was going to throw away. So, I decided to recycle him!

I cut a circle and scallop from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for my tag. As I mentioned, the little puppy was from Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge. He didn't have a hat so I added one that I cut from an SVG called Nancy's Happy Holidays. I bought this last Christmas season from Lettering Delights. To the hat I used some Snow Writer and topped it with some very fine glitter and let it dry.

The cute little face is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-757 Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Face Assortment. I topped his eyes and nosed off with some Ranger Glossy Accents. For his collar I tied some Martha Stewart twine and added a tiny bell.

"Here comes Santa Paws" is from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release "Critter Crazy!"

On the back of the tag I stamped "For" and "Love" from the newly released "Christmas Cheer!" set.

Both these sets are in stock and ready to ship!

Head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to get yours and while your there check out all the other items that Scrappy Moms Stamps has available!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Happy Christmas with Peachy Keen Stamps!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a card I created for the Snowflake Challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection. This challenge is now over but I wanted to share my card here, too.

For my card I used PK-149 Happy Snowman with Label. I stamped him multiple times so I could paper-piece him. I also stamped him on my background so you can't really see where he was cut out and glued there. There was no way I could cut out his limb arms. I used my Copics to give some shading where it was needed.

I added some bling for his buttons and hat. All of the papers, ribbon, and snowflake are from the November Peachy Picks. I just LOVE the Peachy Picks! You have so much to work with and you can make many cards just out of this kit.

I know the challenge is over but guess what?

The Peachy Keen Sale isn't! You still have time to make an order.

The sale ends tonight at 7:00 PM. So hurry!!

Have a Happy Monday!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for another Scrappy Moms Stamps release! This month Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing 2 new sentiment sets.

The first card I am showing showcases a sentiment from "Christmas Cheer!"

I used the Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite cartridge to cut this Santa Clause. I outlined the sentiment with a white gel pen to help it stand out against my patterned paper.

Look at all these wonderful holiday sentiments in the "Christmas Cheer!" set.

These will be perfect for all those cards and gifts that you are sure to need in the near future.

I gave you a little sneak peek of the second set when I created this card earlier this week.

You can see the details for this card HERE.

The sentiment on this card is from "Critter Crazy!"

Aren't these the the cutest sentiments! You know you can have fun with these.

Thankful for You ~ PKS Thankful Blog Hop

If you are looking for my Shop Pumpkin Spice project click --> HERE

Hi Peachy Fans! Welcome to my blog!

The Peachy Keen Stamps designers, past and present, are together for the Peachy Keen Stamps "Thankful Blog Hop." We are all excited to share our "Thankful" projects using our Peachy Keen Stamps.

If you came here from Michelle's blog: Scrappin' with My Bug, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to be visiting my blog today then you are going to want to start from the beginning at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

This is a long hop but you will have until Sunday, November 11th to visit each stop. That's 4 days of hopping! Believe me you are not going to want to miss a thing. You are also going to want to comment at each stop along the way because we have some Peachy prizes for some lucky commentors. You are not going to know on which blog the prizes will be hidden so make sure to leave a comment on each one.

Now onto my project...

For my project I created a wreath shaped card. I first welded 2 circles together using my Gypsy for the card base. I also cut a circle layer for the top. The paper for that is from the October Peachy Picks Kit.

I stamped the leaves from PKSC-09 September 2012 with distress inks and cut them out. From there I inked them some more, crinkled them, and inked them again. I used several Ranger Distress Inks to include: Aged Mahogany, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, Brushed Corduroy, and Vintage Photo.

Once everything was inked just the way I liked it I sprayed all my leaves with Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold.

After everything was dry I just layered all my leaves, found I needed to stamp some more, then continued layering.  I added a pretty bow made from crinkle ribbon and topped it with a button that came from the February Peachy Picks Kit. I inked the button with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The sentiment from PKSC-10 October 2012. I hand cut the banner and inked it.

This next photo is a shot from the side.

In this photo you can see all the beautiful shine from the Glimmer Mist.

All of the stamps used were from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club.

Here is how the club works:

This is a monthly recurring subscription.

Each month, you will receive one 8.5" x 11" stamp kit containing tons of mix and match elements for many occasions! No repeat images, each month is unique and original.

Wonderful Fall with Shop Pumpkin Spice

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I love this time of year. The rich colors of Fall are some of my favorite.

My project today is composed of products that you can purchase from Shop Pumpkin Spice. If you have never visited this on-line store you are missing out.

Shop Pumpkin Spice carries all the wonderful lines of scrapbooking products that we all love and the best part is that everything is at least 30% off retail.

Let me share my project with you.

For my card I used products that are included in the SPS November Kit "Family Time." The patterned paper is Simple Stories "Harvest Lane." This line has several pages of tags and word art. It really makes putting a card together very easy. For instance, this card  used no die cuts or an electronic cutting machine. It was just me, my paper cutter, and a pair of scissors.

I inked all my cuts with Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I, then, added some Buttercream Baker's Twine from The Twinery. Shop Pumpkin Spice carries a wide variety of colors of The Twinery Baker's Twine.

The finishing touch to my card is this beautiful Petaloo Zinnia Flower which is included in the Family Time Kit.

Take a look at this wonderful kit:

This kit is valued at $46.65 but Shop Pumpkin Spice is retailing it for only $24.95! How awesome is that!

I hope you liked my card today.

Make sure to check out all the inspiration to be had on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Happy Holidays Tag with Peachy Keen Stamps

Hey there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a tag that I created for the challenge that is happening over at the Peachy Keen Connection!

The new Peachy Keen Stamps were released on Monday evening and are now on sale. With the release Peachy Keen Stamps is having a challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection. This tag is for Challenge # 1. Create a Christmas Tag.

For this tag I stamped the snowman with PK-148 Snow Gifts. I colored him a bit with Copic markers and paper-pieced him. I add some Stickles to his hat and gloves. I also used the snowflakes found in this set for my background and added a few gems.

The sentiment is stamped from PKSC-11 November 2012 Stamp of the Month.

The snow was created with some chunky Martha Stewart glitter. I added some ribbon, twine, and a bell to finish things off.

This challenge is open until Sunday, November 11th and will close at 12:59 est. There is a set of Peachy Keen Stamps up for grabs so make sure you upload you tag before the deadline.
