Outta This World ~ Clean & Simple Cards Day 2

If you are looking for the Craftin Desert Divas January Release Blog Hop Day 1 click HERE or scroll down.

As I mentioned earlier this week I am taking the Clean & Simple Cards 4 from Online Card Classes. I am loving all the fun techniques I am learning! If you have never checked out Online Card Classes I highly recommend it. There are many to choose from and I plan on taking some more classes in the near future.

Today's card is from Day 2 of the class. It features in the Border Gap Die Cutting and Masking technique.

I love how this card came out. It is a very simple technique. To create my gaps I used the Fancy Edges 2 dies from My Craft Spot. These are no longer available but I am sure you can find something similar elsewhere. Once I had my cuts I masked off what I didn't want inked. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks in Fired Brick, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade to create my ray.

I stamped the spaceship from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-166 Happy Trails Spaceship and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some white gel pen accents and some Glossy Accents to the window. Around the spaceship I added some silver sequins. I thought they were the perfect little somethin' somethin' the card needed.

My sentiment is from the same Peachy Keen Stamps set. I just heat embossed it with clack embossing powder.

I popped up my panel with some foam tap and the card was finished!

This was so fun!

I hope to have more for you very soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

OCC Clean & Simple 4 Day 1

Hi There!  I am currently taking the Clean & Simple 4 class from Online Card Classes and learning so many fun techniques.

The card I am sharing today is from Day 1 called 3D Embossing. Kristina Werner share this technique.

I know this is a Halloween card! I need a nice sized sentiment and as I was going through all the many stamps I have, I came to the realization that I have very few that are a nice large size.

For this card I used Peachy Keen Stamps PK-1434 Fall Face Parts Large for my sentiment and PK-1381 Polkadot Background  for my background.

I decided to frame my sentiment with a Martha Stewart spiderweb punch that I inked up with Versa Mark in k and heat embossed it with some Black embossing powder.  To finish up my card I mounted my mat on a black cardstock base.

This technique is pretty easy. I did get a little crooked with my sentiment but over all it may be something I try again in the future.

For my card I used a free file that was available on the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery over on Facebook. I thought these little sheep were so cute.

I stamped their face with Peachy Keen Stamps PK-1357 Sweet on You Face assortment. I colored in their eyes with my Copic markers and added some Glossy Accents for some shine. I wanted the sheep wool to have some texture so I embossed it with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder.

My sentiment is from the new Sending Love set.

Here is a little close up.

You & Me ~ with My Craft Spot and a Giveaway!

Hey! I am finally posting my first card for 2015!

I hope your year is starting out well and that you are excited for what is to come!

Today I am sharing  an easy Valentine or Anniversary card here and on the My Craft Spot Blog.

This will be my last post for My Craft Spot but I will always enjoy using the My Craft Spot products in my crafting.

For this card I started out with some Echo Park paper and added a few elements. I used the Rolled Roses Die and a leaf from the Flowers - Daisy Dies for my beautiful rose.  I layered this on some Tuxedo Black Crinkle Ribbon.

I used the Postage Stamp Die and stamped it with sentiments from the Tiny Tags 2 and Tiny Tags 3 stamps. I added a few enamel dots and sprayed my rose with some sparkle and the card was finished.

There are still many products in the My Craft Spot Shop.

Just use this link to get 30% off.

I want to take a moment to thank Kimberly for allowing me to be part of her team and for the wonderful products that I will continue to use. It has been a true blessing!

With this being my last post for My Craft Spot I thought this would be a good time for a giveaway!

I have a few MY Craft Spot products that I have duplicates of and would love to give them to a crafty friend.

To win:

1. Follow My Blog.
2. Like my Facebook Page

I will draw a winner from all the comments and likes January 15th.
